Profile Visibility Settings
Control your profile’s visibility to manage when and how students can find you on Court Coach Pro.
Visibility Options
Your profile can be set to one of two states:
Public (Visible)
- Your profile appears in the coach directory
- Students can find you through search and filters
- Your contact methods are accessible
- You can receive inquiries from potential students
Hidden (Not Visible)
- Your profile does not appear in the directory
- Students cannot find you through search
- Your profile page shows a “not available” message
- Useful when you’re fully booked or taking a break
Changing Your Visibility
To change your profile visibility:
- Log in to your coach account
- Go to your Dashboard
- Find the “Edit Coaching Profile” section
- Look for the “Profile Visibility” toggle
- Toggle between visible and hidden
- Save your changes
When to Hide Your Profile
Consider hiding your profile when:
- Fully booked: You don’t have availability for new students
- Taking a break: Vacation, injury recovery, or personal time
- Seasonal pause: If you only coach during certain seasons
- Profile updates: Making major changes and want privacy while editing
Profile Completeness
For your profile to be visible, it must meet minimum requirements:
- A profile photo
- A bio or about section
- At least one teaching location
- At least one contact method
Incomplete profiles cannot be set to public until these requirements are met.
Search Ranking
When your profile is public, several factors affect where you appear in search results:
- Profile completeness: More complete profiles rank higher
- Location relevance: Coaches closer to the searched location rank higher
- Activity: Recently updated profiles may get a boost
- Credentials: Verified certifications can improve ranking
Tip: Even when fully booked, consider keeping your profile visible but updating your bio to mention limited availability. This maintains your presence while setting expectations.
